Program registration deadline is September 24th. We will not be able to accept late registrations. Please read our Return to Play & Programs document before registering for any programs.

All Fall programs will run through the month of October.

HRec will only be holding low risk* outdoor programs for the Fall 2020 season. All programs and events will have a Recreation staff member or appointed representative (AR) present.
*Low risk programming is identified as skill building at home, with family or team-based practice. Non-residents will not be allowed to register for HRec programs as this would be highest risk category. (Maine DECD & Aspen Project Play – Return to Play Risk Assessment, 2020)

Calling all 3, 4 & 5 year olds! Kindergardeners and 5 year olds will be split into their own session and 3-4 year olds will have their own session.

Harpswell Recreation has put together a great Pee Wee Soccer program! We've found fun drills and games that will develop soccer skills while keeping us safely distanced! Parents, be ready to partner up with your child!

This program is scheduled for one hour, however at this age group that is too long for instruction. You can expect it will take 15 minutes to arrive and set up, 30 minutes of active instruction and 15 minutes to clean up and exit.

All kids will receive a soccer ball and a string bag (that they can keep) to carry their ball and water bottle to and from practices.

Practices will be held at Trufant-Summerton Field 648 Harpswell Islands Road on Saturday mornings. Practice time will be dependant upon number of kids registered. We may need to expand to two sessions to be compliant if our numbers are high.

Coach Sierra Gilley returns for her second year. Sierra is a 5th grade teacher, an avid sports fan and played lacrosse through College. She started her soccer career in this very program and played all through high school. She also coaches in our basketball program through the winter months.
We are always looking for more volunteers and helpers! If you are interested please contact Harpswell Recreation. A volunteer application, background check and COVID-19 training will need to be completed before you can volunteer.

Refund Policy for COVID-19
Due to the always changing guidelines provided by the Maine DECD for Community Sports – there is a chance our programs will get cancelled or postponed. This is something that is beyond our control.

Our refund policy for 2020 while under COVID-19 guidelines:

- If Harpswell Recreation cancels a program due to lack of staff or volunteers a full refund will be available.
- If Harpswell Recreation cancels a program due to COVID-19 related issues there will be no refund available. Any program equipment we have ordered for individuals will be sent to them via mail or may be picked up at the Town Office on a determined date.
