Community Swim

This program is FREE for Harpswell Residents! Community Swim is held twice a year; September - December and January - March.

We swim from 4:30 - 5:30 pm only.

The whole pool is open, including lap swimming and the diving boards. The shallow end is 4 feet, so bring flotation for your child if needed. We have noodles, but no life jackets.

To Register: You can register poolside on the first night OR print and fill out the form below and bring it with you. 

There are some requirements:
-Children must be at least age 3 and potty trained. No swimmer diapers are allowed in the pool.
-You must provide a copy of your medical health insurance card on your first visit (we can scan it at the pool, or you can email or fax a copy to the office).
-Children under 18 must be signed in by an adult and supervision is required.

General Information
  • FREE to residents of Harpswell • Topsham • Bowdoin • Bowdoinham
  • $2.00 per swimmer per visit to all other non-residents.
  • No pre-registration required.
  • Register at poolside.
  • Limit: 75 swimmers per session.

Please read and abide by Bowdoin College Pool Regulations
You must have medical insurance. Bring your card or a photocopy when you register, or send a photo (both sides) to recreation@town.harpswell.me.us or fax a copy to the office.
1. Children under 18 must be under the supervision of a parent or guardian at all times.
2. Pre-schoolers must be at least age 3 and must be toilet-trained. No swimmer diapers are allowed in the pool.
3. Non-swimming spectators may use the gallery area, accessible via the upstairs lounge.
4. NO food or drinks are allowed in the locker rooms or on the pool deck.
5. Street shoes are not allowed on the pool deck.
6. There will be no running anywhere.
7. There will be no admittance to any other area of the Field House except the locker rooms Walking/running on the indoor track is prohibited!
8. Violation of these rules will mean forfeiture of swim privileges.
