T-Ball

This program is subject to COVID-19 precautions and limitations.

Program Registration deadline is 4/16/21.

T-Ball will run on Saturdays: 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 5/29 and 6/5.

T-Ball is for children ages 5 and 6* years old.
- *6 year olds with at least one season of T-ball may be eligible to play Rookie Baseball or Softball on a skills and space available basis.

This program will engage children in the basics. Running, throwing, catching, sportsmanship, team playing and beginning games.

Practices are held at Trufant-Summerton Athletic Field on Route 24 on Saturday mornings, time TBD.
Program participants may be split into multiple groups to keep numbers manageable for coaches.

**Equipment required:  Players should be prepared to supply their own equipment: batting helmet, glove and a bat.  If you are unable to supply equipment, please contact the Harpswell Recreation Department, as a limited amount of equipment may be available to borrow.

**Like during our 2020 season, COVID guidelines must be followed again this year to allow us to run programs. As we all know, this is a very fluid situation with constantly-changing policies which we will keep everyone updated on as we approach the season. For example, in accordance with current Maine Community Sports Guidelines, masks will be mandatory for all players, coaches and volunteers. Limited or no spectators will be permitted at events.
We will communicate these policies as well as any changes to them through email. Thank you in advance for your understanding as we navigate through these challenging times together.
