WFA Description:
Wilderness First Aid (WFA) is a two-day, 16-hour training that teaches you how to handle real emergencies– whether you’re miles from help in the backcountry or at home with your family. This isn’t your typical first aid class. You won’t be sitting and listening to lectures. You’ll be out of your seat, working through realistic scenarios, practicing how to make decisions under pressure, and learning what it actually feels like to respond to someone in need. You’ll leave not just with a certification, but with the skills and confidence to take action.
During the course, you’ll learn how to assess a patient, stabilize injuries, control bleeding, treat allergic reactions, manage heat and cold illnesses, and make smart choices when resources are limited. You’ll also learn how to communicate with emergency services, take charge in stressful situations, and support a team during a crisis.
WFA isn’t just about being prepared for adventures– it’s about becoming someone others can count on. The training builds self-reliance, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills that you’ll carry into every part of life.
