Wildlife Story Walk

2026 Harpswell Parks & Rec
MFMitchell Field is a 118-acre public space made up of several unique habitats—which makes it a great place to observe our local wildlife!

The Harpswell Recreation Department teamed up with local author Ed Robinson to create a series of informational signs posted across Mitchell Field to teach visitors about the nature all around them. As you explore Mitchell Field you can read about the plants and animals that call this place home, from the fields to the forest and the rocky shoreline.
Each sign you pass features a photo and information about a specific species. To read more about our local flora and fauna, you can visit Ed Robinson’s Nature Notes page on the Harpswell Heritage Land Trust website by scanning the code below or going to www.hhltmaine.org/nature-notes.
Thanks, Ed!
