Runners compete as a team but have a sense of individual performance and accomplishment.Practices are held weekly - Full schedule will be available in April. Practices held on Mondays.Weekly Competition Meets on Wednesdays with similar groups in the Mid Coast region and one home meet at George Mitchell Field. Grades: K, 1 & 2 – 1/2 mile; Grades 3 & 4 – 3/4 mile;Grades 5 & 6 – 1 mile. Has your child ever tried Tennis?  Pickleball?  Both activities promote lifelong fitness and we'd love to teach them the basics!This clinic style learn-to-play program is provided by a partnership between Harpswell Recreation and HNPEA (Harpswell Neck Physical Education Association). The program will be run on Wednesday mornings, 9 - 9:55 am in the HCS gym and is open to children in grades K - 5. All equipment is provided.  Please have your child wear sneakers, comfortable clothing and bring a waterbottle.Program dates:  May 1st, 8th and 15th.Cost:  $10Note:  Students will be dismissed to their classrooms at the end of each session.

REGISTRATION CLOSES ON 4/18/24T-Ball is for children ages 4, 5 and 6* years old.- *6 year olds with at least one season of T-ball may be eligible to play Rookie Baseball or Softball on a skills and space available basis.If you have questions about your child's placement please call the Recreation Department at 207-833-5771.This program will engage children in the basics. Running, throwing, catching, sportsmanship, team playing and beginning games.Practices are held at Trufant-Summerton Athletic Field on Route 24 on Saturday mornings, time TBD.Program participants may be split into multiple groups to keep numbers manageable for coaches.**Equipment required: A glove and batting helmet.
