Harpswell Youth Basketball League - 3/4 Boys
New this season: The AYBL is looking to cap team size at 8 players. After the team is full, any additional sign ups will be placed on a waitlist. Once a waitlist reaches 8 players they will be moved off from the waitlist and onto a second team. Team rosters may be adjusted to evenly distribute talent. Note: If a team cannot be filled in a particular town, towns may combine players to fill rosters.Registration period will open on 10/1/26 and close on 11/1/26 (unless teams fill prior to 11/1). Please register early to help us plan and schedule. $30 registration fee* includes a team shirt (no take home basketballs this season). Scholarships available, see below for details. Harpswell Youth League Basketball is a league play program for boys and girls in grades 3 - 6. It is part of the larger Ararat Youth Basketball League made up of Topsham, Harpswell, Bowdoin, and Bowdoinham.Teams are made up in the following ways:- Girls 3rd & 4th grade combined- Girls 5th & 6th grade combined- Boys 3rd & 4th grade combined- Boys 5th & 6th grade combinedThis program aims to teach the foundations of basketball while providing an opportunity for each child to play in the recreational season. This program runs approximately 12 weeks.PRACTICES: Will begin in November, dates & times TBD once coaches are in place. They are usually 1 - 1.5 hours and are held on weeknights at HCS. GAMES: We play games with Topsham, Bowdoin & Bowdoinham on Saturday mornings. Schedules will be published as we get closer to the start date.COACHES: We need coaches!
